In February 2016, total production of crude oil by LOTOS Petrobaltic, LOTOS Norge and LOTOS Geonafta, which operate in Poland, Norway and Lithuania, crossed the mark of one million barrels.
“Thanks to the launch of initial production from the B8 field in the Baltic Sea, stable production from the B3 field, production from deposits in Lithuania and acquisitions in Norway, LOTOS increased the daily hydrocarbon production to nearly 30,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d),” said Zbigniew Paszkowicz, Vice-President of the Management Board of Grupa LOTOS S.A., Chief Exploration and Production Officer, President of the Management Board of LOTOS Petrobaltic S.A.
These steps enabled the Company to reach the million barrels mark in a record short time. To compare, in 2013, the millionth barrel was produced at the end of July, and in 2014 and 2015 – in March.
Importantly, crude oil produced in Lithuania and from the Baltic Sea is delivered to Naftoport, from where it is transported via pipelines to the LOTOS Group refinery in Gdańsk.
Production from the B3 field has continued since 1992 and is carried out through the Baltic Beta platform. The current output from the B3 field is approximately 3,000 boe/d.
On September 30th 2015, production from the B8 field was launched, using the LOTOS Petrobaltic rig. The output from the six production wells in this field is around 3,500 boe/d.
On the Norwegian Continental Shelf, LOTOS Norge holds interests in producing fields from the Heimdal portfolio and assets in the Sleipner gas field. The transactions were closed on December 30th 2013 (Heimdal) and December 30th 2015 (Sleipner). The current output attributable to LOTOS Norge is over 22,000 boe/d: 6,300 boe/d from the Heimdal assets and 16,000 boe/d from the Sleipner gas fields.
The production volume by LOTOS Geonafta is approximately 1,200 boe/d.
